This is a scam.
Your life WILL NOT be ruined.
Nothing is going viral.
Take a breath.
You’re not in trouble. You’re not alone.
Before anything else… breathe.
If your stomach dropped or your hands are shaking, that’s panic — not danger.
You’re safe right now. Just take this one breath with me.
Inhale… 4
You’re okay. You’re not in trouble.
Read this part carefully…
This is 100% a scam.
They do this to thousands of boys.
You’re not the first, and you’re not alone.
They’re running the same copy-paste script on everyone.
✓ They don’t actually know your family.
They screenshot your followers to scare you. They don’t actually know anyone in your life.
✓ Nothing is going viral.
Scammers want fast money — not drama. They aren’t posting anything about you.
✓ You did nothing wrong.
They exploit panic, not mistakes. You’re human — that doesn’t make you guilty.
1. Screenshot everything.
Messages. Threats. The username. All of it. These receipts protect you.
2. Don’t block yet. Don't argue.
Blocking too early deletes the evidence and makes it harder to calm the scammer.
3. Send this message.
“I know you’re a scammer. I’m not paying. I’ve reported this account. Stop messaging me.”
(Tap + hold to copy this text.)
✗ Don’t pay.
Paying never makes them stop. It only makes them ask for more.
✗ Don’t send more.
They pressure you to “prove” something. This is a trap — ignore it completely.
✗ Don’t delete anything.
Keep all messages. These screenshot receipts protect you later.
✗ Don’t block yet.
Blocking too early deletes the thread and makes it harder to de-escalate.
What they say
- “You have 10 minutes before I send everything.”
- “I’ll show your parents if you don’t pay right now.”
- “I’m posting this everywhere in 60 seconds.”
- “I know all your contacts. I’ll ruin your life.”
What’s actually true
- They send the same threats to thousands of people.
- They usually don’t have time to chase anyone.
- They want fast money, not “revenge” or drama.
- Your life isn’t ruined. You still have options.
The more scared you feel, the more they think you’ll pay. Once you calm down, they lose their power.
Tell one trusted adult.
You’re not in trouble — you just shouldn’t carry this alone.
Coach or mentor
Someone who has your back on your team, in a club, or at school.
Parent or caregiver
You can start with: “Someone online is threatening me and I’m scared.”
Aunt, uncle, or family friend
The calm adult. The one who listens before reacting.
Teacher, counselor, or youth leader
Someone at school or church who makes you feel safer when they’re around.
You don’t have to show them everything on your phone. You can just say: “I think I’m being scammed and I need help.”
Pick one adult who isn’t going to freak out at you, but will stand next to you.
You don’t have to tell them every detail — just enough so they can back you up.
